Woohoo! Welcome to the best of #coachbetter!
Designed specifically for experienced instructional coaches!
Your matching case study is Layla, the Accommodator
Layla has been coaching for a few years but…
She consistently finds herself frustrated about the lack of commitment to coaching cycles by her colleagues.
Initiating coaching conversations and even helping coachees identify their goals is easy for Layla, but once things get busy, coaching falls by the wayside and often ends up on the back burner.
She knows her colleagues are busy and she wants to respect their time, so when appointments get canceled, Layla assumes they need more space and don’t always follow up.
Ultimately, Layla is expecting her coaching partners to have the same dedication and commitment to coaching that she had as a coachee, before she became a coach.
Layla feels like she can’t ever gain momentum in her coaching and she’s always ending up starting new cycles with new coaching partners because they always seem to just peter out, rather than continue into cycle after cycle.
If this resonates with you, your next steps to grow are:
- Professional learning around the development of an effective coaching program
- Professional learning on proven strategies to provide consistent communication & services to coachees
- Building the confidence to be persistent in following through & taking action on coaching processes so that coachees are supported
- The opportunity to self-assess and reflect on your growing coaching practice over time
- An external sounding board (coach or mentor) to provide unbiased feedback on your coaching practice and provide professional development resources based on your needs
- Opportunities to strategize with other coaches going through the same challenges to get feedback and insight from other schools

Hi! I’m Kim!
I’m the host of the #coachbetter podcast and the founder of Eduro Learning.
I was an instructional coach in international schools for over 15 years and I firmly believe that coaches are the key to sustainable professional growth in schools.
As a coach, you have a powerful informal leadership position where you can both inspire new ways of teaching and learning and be the support on the ground to make it happen.
Since 2015, I’ve been supporting coaches in international, public and private schools around the world through the #coachbetter podcast, as well as in my courses for coaches and private mentoring packages.
My clients have:
- developed their unique voices as a coach so that they’re having consistent, effective, and deep coaching conversations;
- successfully advocated for a coaching position – turning a temporary role into a full time salaried job;
- created intentional and thriving coaching programs where teachers are excited about being coached;
- become productive and focused in their demanding coaching job, so they actually get things done and feel accomplished; and
- navigated the murky waters of middle level leadership to make a bigger impact in their school setting.
What I know from my years of being a coach, and working with coaches, is…
YOU have the potential to make a bigger impact in your school setting when you dive deep into your coaching skills.
